Some nice (if slightly loony) chap bought me a brand new electro-acoustic guitar for my birthday and I have been learning to play again.
I use to play many years ago, and got quite good but gave it up to concentrate on singing. Now (god help us all) I'm trying to do both!

It's bloody painful as well! I'd forgotten how difficult it is to get your fingers to stretch like that!

Still, progress is fairly good. I'm getting very good at 'Horse With No Name' by America and 'Man On The Moon' by R.E.M. I'm also learning 'Sailing Ships' by Whitesnake. It's quite a difficult song though!

I can just about mutter the lyric to the R.E.M. song while I play, but only just. It'll take some practice before I can sing and play at the same time!

In other news, I'm off to Cornwall on Saturday to camp for one night with my friends Kirsty and Andy. We're all going to have a beach fire barbequeue and a few beers. Then on Sunday we're going to The Eden Project, which I'm rather looking forward to.

I'm still musing on what to do about my friend who I may like. I'm not sure if she's been taking the hints I've been dropping or not. If she has, then she may be backing off and I might not say anything. On the other hand, she seems to have missed some massive hints so I might just tell her how I feel. I like her, but I'm not sure how much. Is it just good friendship or is there potential for something more?! I'm so confused!!

An ex of mine added me on Facebook this week. Well to be more precise, she added me, commented on my well and then buggered off again. I've asked what that was all about and all she did was give me her phone number. Very odd indeed.

I've no intention of calling her. Why would I? It was over 8 years ago and I'm not interested in the slightest way!

Anyway, this has turned out to be a bit of a long blog, so I'll shut up.
